Great clean place for sure ! They serve them to you very hot and fresh! Hot chocolate is wonderful too! Prices really aren't too bad! Me and my boyfriend split a large finger which said feeds 3-4 people but me n him ate every single one ! Would definitely come back. Was open on New Years which is a plus! Staff is super friendly as well. Plenty of seating and there's a tv

We come here often and sit outside with our dog. The beignets come to you right out of the fryer. There Toes and Fingers are also great.

Rue Beignet is one of the only Beignet shops in Baton Rouge, if not THE only. They are absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our beignets were ready very quickly and they tasted very fresh. The inside is really trendy and clean. It seems like it is brand new inside. Next time I am in town I will be sure to go here again!

This place used to be great. They've changed ownership recently and while the beignets are still good, the service is horrible. It is unacceptable to wait over 30 minutes for beignets. They fill the call-in orders first so customers eating in (or coming in to order "to-go" sit and wait. Literally bags of beignets sit and wait for the call-in customers to arrive while they could be served to waiting customers. They should give the call-ins a time for pick up and then make their beignets right before that time. We were told they fill the orders in the as they come in whether they are called or placed in person. This business is 5 minutes from my house but I can get in my car, drive to coffee call for my to-go order & return home in nearly the same time frame as ordering from them. It's sad to say but unless they change something they'll start losing customers. They've already lost me.

The beignets are delicious, but the service is terrible. They close at 8pm on Sundays and when my wife and I show up for an evening date at 7:30, they had already cleaned out the oil and "ran out of dough" and didn't want to make new dough because they already cleaned out the oil.... Didn't they close at 8pm? Yeah.... I'm upset. From someone who's worked in the food industry, if someone shows up at 7:59pm and you close at 8pm, they're still a customer and you still serve them.

I absolutely love the Beignets here! They are made to order, so they are hot and crispy, when plated! I am not one of the types that has to have my beignets completely coated with powdered sugar. The cafe is located in a small plaza and the interior of the it is very charming, quiet and clean - great for a business meeting or a chat with a friend. They pride themselves in making an awesome beignets. I have not yet tried the filled beignets, but I would love to know how they are for someone who has had them...if they are as good as their regular ones, then I am for certain they are phenomenal!

Finally New Orleans beignets without the drive. And might I dare say maybe even as good as Morning Call, my all time favorite NO beignet. They offer the regular size order of 3 nice sized, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and finger beignets which is large enough for two and reasonably priced in the three dollar range. If you are feeling bored with the traditional powdered sugar, you might try chocolate, caramel, cinnamon or honey instead. Personally I would love for them to add a Karo or Blackburn syrup to this menu. The coffee is delicious and probably one of my favorite places to get my café au lait fix. They also offer 1 refill which I always take them up on. Hot chocolate is also served as well as the frozen au lait which will be a pleasant change when the weather warms up. The restaurant is situated in a typical Baton Rouge style strip mall but it is in the middle so there is no drive thru option. It is newer and the decor is as well, but very pleasant and always clean. They also have a few chairs and tables outside. The ambiance is certainly not up to my Morning Call's standard, but no one can compete with it and the outdoor park setting in NO, at least in my opinion. The service has always been a younger and friendly staff. This is a must try if you haven't already.

The beignets here are absolutely delicious! I brought my mom here when she visited a few months ago, and I am so glad I picked this place! Being brand new to the beignet scene, I had only had them at Cafe du Monde while in the FQ. My mom had never had a beignet before, and I definitely thought it was worth the trip. We went on a weekday morning, and it was surprisingly busy which I knew was a good sign. We ordered fingerling beignets and cafe au laits. The fingerlings were hot and crispy when they came out, so definitely made to order. The price was very reasonable, as well. The atmosphere, while small and possibly a bit cramped when busy, is still very pleasant and quite clean! The service was very friendly and helpful when we told them we were first time customers. I would definitely recommend Rue Beignet if you are looking for well priced, made to order, authentic beignets.

People. Don't miss this place. First of all, I'm from the Northwest and like it or not, I'm a coffee snob. The coffee is really good; some of the best I had in the South. But, the beignets were awesome! I totally (and intentionally) over ordered so I could try both the original with powdered sugar and the cinnamon sugar options. I wish I could have stuffed them all in my stomach...they were so good. If you're in Baton Rouge, don't miss this place. And, don't be deterred by the strip mall-esque exterior. Some of my favorite food finds left a little to be desired on the outside.

Everything is hot, good, and fresh. Every time we come to BR, this is one of our first stops.

Driving through Louisiana to Texas and I'm so glad we stopped. Got a couple of cafe AU lait's to drink, a 3 pack of beignets to snack on and a bag of fingerling beignets for the kids. Quick stop and totally worth it!

Nothing special. Beignets are ok, just average. Cafe au lait isn't great. I wouldn't make a special trip to go there.

Great beignets! Just like at Café du Monde in New Orleans but they do Chocolate & Caramel beignets in addition to the sugar ones

I was in town for an LSU baseball game....I was in the mood for some beignets for breakfast. I didn't feel like going into New Orleans to fight the parking, traffic & tourists to go to Cafe Du Mond.. So, I Yelp-ed Baton Rouge and found this place. I'm glad I did! I went in @ about 10:30am on a Saturday. Just a few people were in there, so no crowd...The beignets were made fresh so there was a little wait. Had some Cafe Au Lait to go w/ it and it was good as well. A nice spot to have some good beignets and coffee. Thumbs up to Rue Beignet! Have to say it's on the main road past the water park off I-10...It's in a little strip mall with a few shops....it's easy to miss...

Situated between Maxwell Market and Le Creole lies Rue Beignet on E. Petroleum Dr. Actually, it's quite easy to spot it going down Highland Rd. (behind Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin' Amusement Park). If you see Ruffino's Italian Cuisine, Rue Beignet is right across from it on Highland Rd. The beignets (3 pcs/ $3) here actually taste better than Coffee Call, they have this crunchy texture on the outside while the inside are soft and fluffy. You have a choice between powder sugar or cinnamon sugar. Chocolate topping and/or something else I forgot cost extra, $1.25. Cafe Au Lait (2.75) and Hot Chocolate (2.50) come with one free refill. The place itself is about 1/3 the size of Coffee Call with about 6 or 8 tables inside and 4 tables outside. Overall, the place is comfy and cozy, the beignets are great, but the Cafe Au Lait leaves a lot to be desired. Give this place a try, and remember to hold your breath when biting down on those beignets, or else! Here's to good eating!

Service: pleasant, amenable, helpful. Decor and seating: surprisingly classy for a small beignet joint. Well-spaced seating, comfortable enough chairs. Food and beverage: solid cafe au lait, no complaints. The beignets, contrary to everyone else's opinions, are 1-dimensional in flavor. There's only one reason behind this: the oil is too clean! They clean it so regularly that it's never allowed to accumulate the lovely maillard browning flavors that give customary LA beignets their wonderful flavor.

Attractive atmosphere, friendly staff, and the best part, really great beignets! I actually drive here all the way from the garden district to sample these delicious powdered treats. Hmm... it'd be nice to see a few more Rue Beignets popping up around town.

Went here after reading the reviews on Yelp. Ordered the Fingers (think dough strips deep fried and covered with sugar) and Beignets. Total cost $6 or so, and we had 3 beneights and a paper sack of fingers. Amazing

I have been here several times and absolutely love it... and so do my kids. We just moved here from out of state and we bring our out of town guest here to experience beignets. YUMMMMYYYYY!

I've grown up on beignets and these are the BEST I've ever eaten. They even beat Cafe Du Monde! They are so light and fluffy. The Chocolate Beignets are very good.....but I'm a purist and I'm telling you Rue Beignet has the best beignets. Light, fluffy square clouds of perfection. Do yourself a favor and check them out. Be warned they are already Extremely busy on the Weekends. I go in for a mid afternoon pick me up. You should go to Rue Beignet's.

We popped in here after checking out of our hotel, it had such good reviews, we just had to make it our "beignet" check in while passing through Louisiana. It was early, weekend, and this was kinda off in what looked like a business park. It wasn't very busy, I'm thinking this might be a local hangout and not really a touristy sort of place. The cashier took our order, I wanted to try the cafe au lait, since that seems to go hand in hand with where we are. I'm sure by this point, the cashier has to realize we are not local, but he offers no real inside into anything, he was just very quiet. /sigh So, my daughter and I got cafe au laits and we got some beignets. The cashier handed us 2 coffee mugs and kinda waved us in the direction of the cafe au lait machine... and that was all the instruction we received. We found a table and the place was really quiet, so we spoke in hushed tones, and waited quite a while for the beignets to arrive. My daughter and I had filled our mugs and were eagerly awaiting our coffees to cool off. When we were finally able to sip from them, we realized there was a bit of sweetness to the drink, but it needed something. We awkwardly looked around and finally spotted to sweetener area. We snuck over and got some Splenda and while making sure nobody saw us, we discretely dumped the sweetener into our mugs. Stir, stir, sip... ahhhh... much better. Why all the Spenda secrecy, you wonder.... far be it from me to mutilate a sacred drink or something. Anyhow, the beverage was smooth and like I said, had a natural underlying sweetness from the steamed milk. Good stuff. The beignets arrived hot, way way hot. It seemed like it took forever for them to cool off (or maybe that was my impatience making it seem longer than it was). We got several orders, one with powdered sugar and all the others with Nutella. Oh boy, what a mess. Never give a 9 year old a Nutella beignet unless you have a Costco sized container of Wet Ones on hand. Overall, they were good, but I'm not quite ready to hand the breakfast pastry crown over to them. I'd still prefer a donut, but these were a-ok. I think I would have given this 4 stars if the customer service had not been so underwhelming. There were only 2 other (already seated) customers in the place and no lines, so I have a hard time ignoring the lack of even a smile from the cashier. The coffee and beignets were yummy, the place was clean.... but suffers from being so quiet, I just felt awkward sitting there, and so that's why a star is dinged. Maybe it's different on the weekdays, so take my review with that in mind.

We had 1 order of beignets with the chocolate sauce. It came out pretty quickly and the beignets were nice and hot. The sauce was good, though I would prefer it if it was a little bit thinner. Napkins are a definite must.

I've given up on this place. They have great beignets, the best in Baton Rouge. Unfortunately they know more about beignets than they do about running a business. They have ridiculous opening and closing hours. I've made many attempts to go there after lunch and dinner to find the place closed or about to close. It's as if they really don't want to be open. If they would keep the hours of Coffee Call they would have built a really strong business. As it is I have to drive too far to get to a place that is usually closed in the afternoon or at night. It would be better for them just to give it up than to make such a half-hearted effort.

The bingets are so good. The place is super simple but you go here for those and you get just what you wanted. The guys behind the counter and the owner are rad. I chatted with them for a while after I grabbed mine to go to take to my bro and niece and she mentioned that she likes to offer artists to hang their art on the walls to showcase and if it sells she'll give the profits to them. She even told me could hang my photographs. I got the toes which I think will be perfect got the little one. I'll stop back through on my way back.
